Unhurried Thoughts At My Funeral by Catherine Lima book tt i recently read. i found it rather catchy. Catherine Lim's style of writing has nv failed to amuse her readers i think. she successfully brought many creative insights into her stories.
how she commented on the Singapore Government,
how she effectively brought up traditions to create awareness,
how she utilized her creativity in weaving stories,
at the same time, she infused facts in them.
she is a fun lady i feel.
Unhurried Thoughts At My Funeral narrates a story about her in her coffin; the scenes tat happen during her funeral and the thoughts tat came into her mind while lying in the coffin. this novel covers everything. From friends, relatives, ex-colleagues, fans, lovers, strangers and also God (fictious? no idea.) From science to religion to arts. i'm truely amazed by her extensive knowledge even in Science. she could easily spill out on Black-holes, Big Bang, Parallel Universe, Quantum. she has also included the essence of her classics into tis novel too; giving sweet reminders to her readers. quite sad for me tat she nv include
A Leap of Love in. she is fantastic, isn't she? tis book is pretty fun to read, nevertheless it got a bit chim towards e end, as she wrote about god. i had to read twice to grab some points.
one interesting quote from the book:
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."- Einstein"But science and religion without the arts would be deadly dull"- Catherine LimWorth Reading! 4 stars.
